The MCHS boys swimming relay team from left, Charlie Griffiths, Chance Peterson, John Kirk and Cole Worsley placed 19th in the 4-by-200 yard free relay during the state meet Friday and Saturday. Worsley, a senior from Steamboat Springs, won the state title in the 50-yard freestyle.
Erin Urbanoski lands her successful jump of 18 feet and 2 1/2 inches Friday night in Lakewood. The effort was good enough to net Urbanoski her third consecutive state title in the long jump.

Moffat County High School seniors, from left, Jennifer Harris, Jason Steed and Stayton Mosbey received $1,000 scholarships from the Moffat County Sheriff's Office on Monday. Sheriff Tim Jantz, back right, and Rick Holford, not pictured, presented the three seniors with the scholarships. Harris and Steed will attend the University of Wyoming, and Mosbey will attend Westwood College in Thornton.
