Cole Worsley, a senior at Steamboat Springs High School, won a state title today in the 50-meter freestyle, with a time of 21.22, at the state high school swimming championships in Lakewood. Steamboat Springs does not have a swim team, so Worsley swims for the Moffat County High School Bulldogs.
State Rep. Randy Baumgardner, R-Hot Sulphur Springs, spoke Friday about his struggles and lessons learned in his first legislative session during the Fueling Thought Energy Summit 2009. Baumgardner was joined by Sen. Al White, R-Hayden, Senate Minority Leader Josh Penry, R-Grand Junction, and Rep. Frank McNulty, R-Highlands Ranch, at the discussion.

Bill spent several years as the Moffat County Veterans Service Officer, and Sandy spent 26 years as a school nurse in the Moffat County School District and five years as a nursing instructor at Colorado Northwestern Community College.

Owens said it was the first time he would participate in this same discussion with Lamm in front of a friendly crowd. Before, they have debated in front of college students at the University of Denver, who, Owens said, often have not heard his viewpoint before.
Eighteen Colorado Northwestern Community College nursing students graduated May 9. As soon as the students pass a national licensing exam, they will become registered nurses.
