It doesn't appear that Steamboat Springs' Cook Chevrolet, Jeep and Subaru will be affected by the closure of 1,100 General Motors dealerships across the country. Chevrolet is a GM brand.

George Bowman poses for a photo Wednesday with his Craig Intermediate School class at the Moffat County Courthouse. The students created a sculpture out of discarded plastic bottles. The piece will be on display in the foyer of the courthouse for at least two months.
Craig Fire/Rescue Captain K.C. Hume operates the Rosenbauer T-Rex 100-foot articulating platform truck Thursday in Craig. Craig Fire/Rescue acquired the new truck Monday evening and are training a core group of individuals in operating and driving the truck while Rosenbauer company representatives are in town.
State Sen. Al White, R-Hayden, and Rep. Randy Baumgardner, R-Hot Sulphur Springs, not pictured, kicked off the Fueling Thought Energy Summit 2009 on Thursday at the Holiday Inn of Craig. The pair introduced the first speaker, Vince Matthews, state geologist and director of Colorado Geological Survey. "My Senate district and Rep. Baumgardner's House district are the most hydrocarbon-centric districts in Colorado, perhaps even the country," White said. "This country has been blessed with the existence of what we produce in Northwest Colorado."
