The nonprofit group, which works to strengthen relationships between immigrants and neighbors in Routt and Moffat counties, received a $20,000 grant from the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado to pay for a strategic plan and training.
The Moffat County High School girls freshman basketball team wrapped up its regular season with a 17-2 record. "They worked hard and got better every week," freshman coach Norm Yoast said. "They realized in early January that they couldn't just overpower everybody and that's when they really turned it around."
The Moffat County High School girls junior varsity team wrapped up its regular season with a 17-2 record. The junior varsity team, coached by Matt Ray, won its games by an average of 20 points per game. "They played all-around, balanced team basketball," Ray said. "All the girls were involved and contributed to a true team concept."
