NASA astronaut and 1979 Steamboat Springs High School graduate Steve Swanson says goodbye to his wife, Mary, and son Quinn on Tuesday at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Wednesday's scheduled launch of the Space Shuttle Discovery was delayed until Thursday.
A Colorado Department of Transportation truck sits Tuesday at their east Craig parking lot. The truck, which was involved in a head-on collision last year, was placed there to remind drivers to be safe around work zones.
Tegtman's best finish during the weekend was fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke. She cruised through the required four laps in one minute, 25.53 seconds.
Laurel Tegtman, shown practicing in the Moffat County High School pool last week, returned Sunday from competing in the 2009 Wyoming Winter State Championships in Laramie, Wyo. Tegtman, 12, has been swimming since she was 8 and has no plans to stop anytime soon.
Kaitlyn Ahlstrom boards a Moffat County School District bus Tuesday at East Elementary. If the Moffat County School Board passes a plan to redistrict the schools, 330 students would have to change schools next year. Moffat County School District administrators met with parents Tuesday night to answer questions about the plan.
