Riders stopped to take in the view northwest of Steamboat Springs. The view was from atop a cliff more than 1,000 feet high.
A group of 17 snowmobilers made the 60-mile trip with members of Northwest Colorado Snowmobile Club with a stop at the base of Pilot's Knob, shown above, north of Hayden.
Pictured from left are: Linda Watson; Cindy Ladue, who traveled for her daughter Rebekah, an Air Force airman recently home from Iraq who couldn't make the event due to illness; Shawn Fricke, Marine Corps; Dave Watson, tour guide; Cheryl Dodds; Dick Dodds; and Ted Taylor, an Army National Guard veteran. Elkhorn Winter Adventures supplied the snowmobiles, helmets and tour, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265 supplied lunch for the veterans.
