The Northwest Colorado Chapter of Parrot Heads will be meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Pebble Beach on the Yampa River, behind the golf course, to clean up the beach. About 5 p.m., the group will float down the river to Loudy-Simpson Park, cleaning the river as they go. Bring gloves. For more information, call Mike or Suzanne Brinks at 824-4712.
A 1909 Maxwell Model DA sits parked in the rain Friday outside Mom & Pop's Coffee Shop, 1740 E. Highway 40. Its drivers, Emily Anderson and Christie Catania, were inside the coffee shop warming up with an espresso and a latte after having the weather turn against them upon their arrival in Craig.
