Breyden Clark, 10, swims to the edge of the pool after jumping off the diving board Monday at the Craig Swimming Complex. The pool is open 1 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $3 for children ages 4 to 11, $3.25 for students ages 12 to 17 and $4 for adults. There is no cost for seniors 55 and older or children 3 and younger with a paying adult.
The Hayden Speedway waved the green flag Saturday for the first time this summer. The United Rebel Sprint Series cars, along with the regular classes, had to battle a sloppy track in the first action since last fall.
Craig Parks and Recreation worker Jason Steed, 18, secures a carving Monday morning at Craig City Park. Supervisor Jeremy Sanders said 12 new stumps will be placed around the park to prepare for the Whittle the Wood Rendezvous, set to begin June 17.
Ute Murray sits in front of her new office, Sunset Meadows I at 633 Ledford St. Murray started as Moffat County Housing Authority executive director May 22. She said that in Germany, where she grew up, caring for one's elders is an important part of every family. She hopes to bring that philosophy to her new position and maintain a high quality of life for Sunset Meadows residents.
