Members of the 4-H Shotgun Shooting Sports club compete in a shotgun competition Wednesday at Craig Trap Club. Five shooters, ages 11 to 14, used a voice-activated system to fire traps in random directions in a 30-degree arc.
Margaret Thompson, center, receives her Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265 Ladies Auxiliary 50-year pin from Mary Walters, left, and Virginia Cromer. Thompson joined the Ladies Auxiliary on March 3, 1959, and has held the offices of district deputy president, president, secretary, chaplain and others. Thompson still is involved in extra projects, such as senior Dinners, funerals and youth school projects.
Linda Nelson helps Kayla Keith, 6, with her bag of "silly glop" Wednesday at the Moffat County Fairgrounds. Girl Scouts spent the day learning about science.
