Todd Lodwick lost the front fork and wheel on his titanium racing bike when he collided with a car coming down from watching Stage 17 of Tour de France. Lodwick suffered bumps and bruises but otherwise was unhurt.
Craig Fire/Rescue and The Memorial Hospital's EMS responded Tuesday night to an accident on Industrial Avenue near Steele Street. One person was in the vehicle and had to be extricated and taken to the hospital.
About 12 Craig Fire/Rescue firefighters responded to two brush fires Tuesday night between mile markers 111 and 113 on Colorado Highway 13. No structures were damaged. The fires were reported just before 6 p.m.
Keenan Hildebrandt, 8, of the 49ers, runs the ball during last season's Doak Walker Football action. Registration for youths in this year's league ends at 5 p.m. today.
