More than 60 second-grade students from Sunset Elementary School visited Yampa River State Park on Friday as a follow-up to classroom lessons about local life and life in the polar regions. Students donned snowshoes and traversed around the park in search of tracks to learn about local wildlife.

The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, had been convicted of conspiracy to possess a Schedule 2 controlled substance of more than one gram, a felony, and was facing probation revocation. However, she successfully completed the yearlong Drug Court program, becoming its first graduate.
