Velvet Warne, a Moffat County High School Key Club member, prepares balloons Thursday to be given away at the Literacy Carnival at Sunset Elementary School. Key Club members volunteer at least 50 hours of community service in a school year and receive a letter for reaching that goal.

Denise McDonald, Tai Chi for Health instructor, leads her class Wednesday at the American Legion Post No. 62. The class, which began in July, meets at 3 p.m. Wednesdays. The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association sponsors the class, which is part of the Aging Well program's Wellness Wednesdays. McDonald teaches Sun Style Tai Chi, which is a modified version with smooth, fluid movements for people with arthritis.
