Crews transport moose from the wild in Utah to a base camp, where DOW officers loaded the animals into trailers. The DOW released 19 moose Thursday and Friday in the Meeker area.

DOW officers collected the animals from an area near Ogden, Utah, where the local population had grown to the point that moose were wandering into residential areas.

City officials are concerned the Craig Water Plant's three new raw water pumps will not work with the way the new plant was designed. The project's engineers are tentatively scheduled to meet with city staff Jan. 23 to discuss the issues and which party would be responsible for paying for any future repair or renovation work. City Engineer Bill Earley said possible solutions could cost between $30,000 and a few hundred thousand dollars.
