The Moffat County Sexual Assault Response Team serves victims by reducing the time a person spends in interviews and working with the victim as much or as little as he or she requests. Team members said the group is invaluable to the community, but it needs a new space to meet with victims.
Lee feeds a couple of the puppies Wednesday the store has for sale. Lee recently added puppies of many different varieties to the store's inventory.
Baker Drive Pets keeps a variety of pet supplies on hand including cages for a variety of different animals.
Pete, an Albino Red Oscar, sits Wednesday in the tank in the front area of the pet store. Lee estimated Pete is more than 13 years old.
Shannon Lee, owner of Baker Drive Pets, feeds some of the many fresh-water fish the store keeps on hand. The store also keeps many varieties of salt-water fish for sale.
Junior Curtis Lorio, left, and senior Michael Zehner pose with trophies the Moffat County High School Speech and Debate Team has earned this season. Coach Eric Hansen calls it the "most successful season" in a decade. Recently, Zehner qualified for nationals in the Senate competition, while Lorio placed high in the drama competition at the "biggest speech tournament in the nation." Both are among 16 students who qualified for the upcoming state tournament.
