Moffat County High School junior Nathan Tomlin squares off Feb. 20 during the Class 4A high school state wrestling tournament in Denver. Tomlin is taking his grappling skills overseas this summer, as part of the Colorado team competing in the International Games.

Late Thursday afternoon, cars drive south into Craig along Colorado Highway 13, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 40. Local and state officials long have discussed the importance of renovating Highway 13 north of Craig to make it safe for motorists, but the project was not included on the Colorado Department of Transportation's list projects receiving federal recovery funding.
Dave Morris, Craig Middle School eighth-grade language arts teacher, holds a rough draft of one of his poems. He will be reading his poetry at the Preserving the Last Frontier meeting at 1:30 p.m. today at Sunset Meadows, 633 Ledford St., in the first floor cafeteria.
