Lunges are another core-strengthening exercise, Booth said. Here, she demonstrates one with a twist, rotating the body by 90 degrees toward the bent leg. Another variation is to do leg lifts after each lunge, bringing your knee toward your chest.
Push-ups help strengthen arms as well as the core, Booth said. Do "girly" push-ups with your knees on the ground until you're strong enough to put your toes on the ground. Pull your hands closer than shoulder-width apart to work a different set of muscles.
Balance ball exercises help tone inner thighs and the core. Here, Booth balances on a ball while engaging her abs and pushing her hips forward.
