Dr. Diana Hornung was hired in October 2008 as a physician for the Northwest Colorado Community Health Center, an offering by the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association. The clinic, which treats all patients, is open Monday through Friday in the VNA's Craig office, 745 Russell St.

The Moffat County Sheriff's Office implemented an automated notification system for residents to be aware if any criminal offenders leave jail. Here, Sgt. Ken Uecker, of the Sheriff's Office, demonstrates how to use the online system.

Moffat County High School juniors Jarrod Stillion, far right, and Heather Bays sled down the hill just west of the high school Thursday. The duo was among a number of students competing in the Science Olympics Winter Sledding Challenge. Students were given the task to build sleds out of cardboard and duct tape. They were allowed to use a sled or plastic for the bottom to reduce friction on the snow.
