Parker Myers watches his bowling ball roll down the lane Sunday afternoon at Thunder Rolls Bowling Center. Parker, 6, was bowling with his brother, Caleb, and friend Jacinda Newkirk.
Veterans and their families were treated to a spaghetti dinner Saturday night as thanks for serving their country. The local Elks Lodge, which hosted the dinner, is seeking to offer the event annually.
A single place setting was left empty Saturday night to honor missing soldiers who never returned home. On the plate, the salt symbolizes tears shed, and the lemon symbolizes the sour taste left when a fallen comrade doesn't return home.
Pastor Bob Woods stands in front of the pews Saturday in First Congregational United Church of Christ. The church is celebrating its 50th anniversary at the 630 Green St. location.
