Smith has no plans to quit cultivating bees. However, he said he fell into his passion by coincidence. When he was younger, he used to have terrible allergies until a friend who worked as a beekeeper started giving him bee pollen to take. Smith said it fixed his allergies, so he decided to start a hive of his own.
