Steve Maneotis, Moffat County High School basketball coach, talks to basketball players and their families during the team's season-ending awards banquet Wednesday night at the Center of Craig. The boys finished the season 16-9 overall and 11-3 in the Western Slope League, good for a third-place finish.

Pete Bergmann, Moffat County School District's superintendent, will retire after the 2008-09 school year. Bergmann, 55, said he measured his own success off of his students. He has been involved in the School District for more than 30 years as a teacher, principal and superintendent. Upon his retirement in June, Joseph Petrone will take his place as the district's superintendent.
Taekwondo instructor Jason Walker calls attention Wednesday at the beginning of class. Walker teaches four nights a week, beginning at 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Karissa Maneotis recently participated in the Snowflake and Suncatchers Workshop during the 16th Annual 4-H District Retreat at YMCA of the Rockies. Twenty-seven 4-H members from Moffat County attended the retreat.
