Derrick Hefton, 10, catches a ball Wednesday at the "Big Blue" football camp held at Moffat County High School. More than 60 children from kindergarten to eighth grade spent their evenings Monday through Thursday learning how to play the game from MCHS football players. Proceeds from the camp help fund the high school football program.
Despite an opposing national trend, property values in Moffat County remain stable, mostly because home prices have not declined. The average home sale price in the county increased from December 2007 to December 2008, showing the area's stubbornness amid the national recession.
