Deven Mosman competes April 11 with fellow Bad Dog T.J. Shelton at the Meeker Invite. Mosman placed first in the 10 and younger 95 pound bracket and second in the 12 and younger 100 pound bracket.
Bad Dog grappler Chris Moschetti competes April 11 in the Meeker Invite. The wrestling tournament included Northwest League teams from Hayden, Steamboat Springs, Rifle, Rangely, Parachute, New Castle, Craig and Meeker. Moschetti did not place at the tournament but is pictured above during his one victory out of three matches.

Julie Baker, Ridgeview Elementary School principal, says she still is recovering from the Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, which made her very ill in late May and early June of 2008. Since the rare virus was discovered in 1993, 35 percent of those infected have died.
Karrie Wasik checks inventory Thursday afternoon in her store, Pinky's Palace. Currently, the first floor of the store is broken into two sections - one side containing Wasik's merchandise, and the other side house her mother's merchandise from a previous business. Wasik plans to expand her inventory into both sections.
