Caitlin Conci, left, and her twin sister, Kelsey, pose for a photo in the Moffat County High School pool. Caitlin will return to Craig from her first year at the University of North Dakota as head coach of the Sea Sharks, a summer competitive swim club. She starts May 18.
Elijah Dixon, 13, has been running Critters 'R Us in Craig for the past week while the owner, Dena Wardlow, was called out of state for a death in the family. Dixon has been maintaining all aspects of the shop, including helping customers and tending to the animals, including the chameleon pictured above.
Elijah Dixon helps a customer Friday at Critters 'R Us. Dixon brought chicks into the store to sell several weeks ago, which is when he met owner Dena Wardlow. She began to show him how the store operated and then called on him when she had to leave town for a family emergency.
William T. "Red Wash" Jones was convicted in 1893 of murdering his neighbor and was sentenced to 25 years of hard labor. This mug shot from the Wyoming State prison was taken in 1893.

Bailey Bond, left, colors eggs Thursday with Mel Mulkey at Sandrock Ridge Care & Rehab. Bond, an East Elementary School second-grader, is part of Brownie troop 213, which visited residents to color eggs as part of its community service project. The 10-girl troop also filled more than 700 eggs in preparation for an Easter Egg hunt that will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at Sandrock.
Glen Sherman, right, and his son, John Sherman, pose for a photo at Thursday's Western Colorado Peace Officers Association banquet in Grand Junction. Glen Sherman, a Craig native and former Los Angeles Police Department veteran and Craig police chief, was honored during the banquet. The Peace Officer's Association named its Lifetime Law Enforcement Achievement Award after Glen.
Aric Gerber, and his family, raise purebred Angus at their ranch west of Craig. The Gerbers will be selling at the all-breed live auction April 18 in Hayden.
The Seventh Annual Northwest Colorado Bull Sale will take place April 18 at the Routt Count Fairgrounds in Hayden. The Gerber family, of Moffat County, will be taking some of their bulls, such as the two pictured above, to the sale.
Craig Middle School seventh-graders listen to John Underwood, founder of the American Athletic Institute, during a presentation Tuesday afternoon. Underwood, a former NCAA All-American, tours the country, talking to students and athletes about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.
Brothers co-owner Dave Satterwhite prepares between 700 and 800 hotdogs Wednesday that were prepared that morning. Brothers takes many different types of special orders and also offers on-sight butchering and processing for hunters and ranchers.
