Moffat County Sheriff Tim Jantz practices his swing Thursday at Yampa Valley Golf Course. Jantz and the rest of the Sheriff's Office are sponsoring the Sheriff's Scramble golf tournament Saturday. The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m.
Jana Rowe, of Craig, began selling Scentsy wickless products March 11 as a way to supplement her income. She is one of thousands of Americans who have entered the direct sales force in recent months in response to the recession.
Moffat County High School junior Brian Ivy practices Tuesday at Moffat County High School. Ivy took first in the triple jump Saturday at the Rangely Invitational track meet with a jump of 43 feet, 6 inches. The girls placed third, and the boys placed in sixth. The teams next meet in Grand Junction.
APH Construction employees work on the interior of Kester Jewelry, 530 Yampa Ave., Tuesday afternoon. A sign on the storefront said that the reopen date for the store "hopefully" is May 4.
