The Bulldogs lost both games in the four-team double elimination tournament, falling, 16-15, 25-19, 14-25 and 25-21, to the host Huskies, and they were swept, 13-25, 20-25 and 20-25, by Eagle Valley. "We are making improvements," MCHS coach Brianna Montgomery said. "We are still struggling with the little things, but we'll be fine. We are building a program for now and in the future, and there are still a lot of games left to be played." MCHS (2-7 overall, 1-4 Western Slope League) hosts Fruita on Tuesday.
The Moffat County High School rodeo team hosted its lone home rodeo of both the fall and spring seasons Saturday.

Yampa Valley Bank officials and APH Construction workers put finishing touches on the new Yampa Valley Bank Craig building lobby Saturday morning. The new building is about five times the size of the Craig location's previous offices, and it includes a conference room and space for up to three extra offices for potential lease.
Liane Davis-Kling, Moffat County High School American Government and U.S. History teacher, poses in her classroom Friday afternoon. Davis-Kling hosts mock elections in her classroom each election year and requires her students to attend local government meetings.
Spectator Lydia Johnston holds up the winning duck Saturday morning in the Craig Noon Lions Club's Rubber Duckie Race fundraiser, which ended at Loudy Simpson Park. First place was worth $1,000 in the race, which involved floating rubber duckies that looked like members of the different military branches down the Yampa River. Once they reached the park, they were scooped up by teens in kayaks and club members standing in the river.
