Stanley, a beagle mix, sits in his pen Wednesday at the Craig Animal Shelter. Dogs and cats from the shelter will be on hand Saturday at Murdoch's, 2355 W. Victory Way, during the Humane Society of Moffat County's Adoption Event. The public is invited to come meet some of the available shelter animals. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is for meeting the animals only. "It's kind of like a meet and greet," Humane Society member Carol Scott said. "We're just trying to facilitate adoptions." Adoptions must be arranged through city animal control officers during regular shelter hours. For more information, call Scott at 824-2103.
