Two participants in the 4A high school state golf championships walk down the 18th fairway Monday. The two-day event attracted some of the best golfers in the state to Craig's own Yampa Valley Golf Course.
Wyndham Clark, a Valor Christian freshman, eyes his putt on the 18th green Monday. Clark leads the 4A high school golf state championships after the first round, carding a 66 in his 18 holes of work.
Steamboat Springs' Kaelen Gunderson tees off on hole No. 16 Monday at Yampa Valley Golf Course. Gunderson's round of 74 earned him a tie for sixth-place heading into today's final round.
Meghan Otte sits on her father's shoulders attempting to get a better look at the action Monday during the 4A high school golf state championships. The Otte's were part of the more than 300 spectators who witnessed the first round of the finals at Yampa Valley Golf Course.
First-grader Jordan Broyhill was just one of many students jumping for joy Monday afternoon as they tried out parts of the new playground at Soda Creek Elementary School. The children still have to wait for a protective mat to be installed before they can play on the new playground.
Bulldog runner Chris Zirkle, shown above in last month's Bulldog Invite, placed 18th Saturday in Loveland. Zirkle's time of 17 minutes, 53 seconds was tops among the MCHS boys team, helping MCHS to a fifth-place finish.
Moffat County High School students are showing their school spirit in honor of homecoming week. On Monday, each grade wore a different color.
