Saltcedar, a native of Eurasia, is a noxious weed that grows densely near bodies of water and can edge out native species. Workers with the Bureau of Land Management and Moffat County Pest Control are scheduled to eradicate Saltcedar patches in an area west of Craig this week.

Voters will decide on the amendments Tuesday.

Subcontractors working under The Neenan Co. still are working to complete the interior of the commons area, above, and other rooms in the south wing of the new Craig Middle School. The entire building, including a rebuilt north wing, is scheduled for completion November 2009.
This is The Neenan Co.'s rendering of what the completed commons area at a new middle school will look like. The area, which also will double as cafeteria seating, is located next to the school's existing industrial arts complex.

A $29.5 million bond issue that voters approved in November 2007 is funding the middle school project and other capital upgrades around the district.
