Moffat County High School junior Jasen Kettle leaps over a fallen Montezuma-Cortez defender during Friday night's 41-12 victory. The Bulldogs played their last game of the season on Halloween.
MCHS's Pablo Salcido gets torn down by the Cortez defense after connecting with a pass from Matt Linsacum. After trailing early on, the Bulldogs came back and beat the Panthers, 41-12, in their season-closer at home. Salcido got three touchdowns in the win.

Sheila Harper, adult assistance learning coordinator for Colorado Northwestern Community College, will be starting a new program at the college called Read Right. The program, funded by a Colorado Works Block grant, will help adults learn to read in a different way.
The Craig Rotary Club awarded a $1,000 CNCC Nursing Scholarship to CNCC nursing student Rebecca Roberson. Each year the Craig Rotary accepts applications from first year nursing students at CNCC and awards scholarships in the range of $500 to $1,000. Roberson was chosen from among 18 applicants. Jordan Bailey, 20, and Kacie (Owens) Bailey, 18, of Craig, got married Oct. 24 at the Moffat County Courthouse while Jordan was on leave from the U.S. Navy. The couple said helping each other through tough times strengthened their relationship. On Friday, Jordan left Craig for San Diego. Kacie will join him there in December.
