Adverse weather conditions Thursday morning caused a one-vehicle rollover on County Road 133 close to Highway 13, according to Colorado State Patrol. One female driving the 1996 Jeep Cherokee was transported to the hospital. The woman suffered minor injuries, according to police at the scene. Northwest Colorado received 5 to 8 inches of snow throughout Thursday with it expecting to turn to rain by the weekend.
MCHS freshman Amanda Brewer keeps her eye on the ball Saturday against visiting Eagle Valley. The Bulldogs' game Thursday against visiting Palisade was canceled because of weather. No game will be rescheduled, officially ending the girls soccer team's season. The Bulldogs finished 1-13 in the Western Slope League, 1-13 overall. Brewer led the team in goals scored with four, while freshman Imelda Hernandez tallied two goals and earned a shut out as the Bulldogs' goalie.
Jeanine Vallejos leads a tour of Craig Middle School eighth-grade boys through Trapper Mine on April 24 during a career day event. Students began the day with Colorado Northwestern Community College instructors in power plant technology, automotive technology and industrial electricity, as well as presentations from the police and fire departments. Later, students made on-site visits to Trapper Mine and the Hayden power plant. Craig Kiwanis provided all the food and supplies for a barbecue.

Tim Martin, 24, of Craig, retrieved two ounces of medical marijuana Thursday afternoon from Moffat County authorities. A Moffat County District Court judge ordered the marijuana, which was seized by the All Crimes Enforcement Team in October 2007, be returned to Martin, who is registered with the state's Medical Marijuana Registry program. Patients in the program are allowed to use the drug for medical purposes, such as severe pain.
