Elkhead Reservoir east of Craig opened to the public about two weeks ago. In addition to the expansion project of the past two years, officials plan to add another beachfront, a boat ramp and between 30 to 50 campgrounds by the end of the summer.
The Hunt Family Fiddlers perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Moffat County High School auditorium. Cost is $15. People who purchase a membership for the 2008-09 Craig Concert Association series get in the show for free.

Betsy Peck has been volunteering at Ridgeview Elementary School since 1981, sits on the Moffat County Housing Authority board of directors and delivers presents for Christmas for Seniors. She was named 2007 Volunteer of the Year on Wednesday. Officials from Moffat County United Way, the city and county selected Peck from of a pool of eight nominees.
