A structure at 97547 U.S. Highway 40 caught on fire Monday night. Craig Fire/Rescue was paged to the scene at 8:50 p.m. Craig Fire/Rescue chief Bill Johnston said the owner of the home was taken to the hospital with burns after an explosion occurred as he was trying to light a wood stove. Johnston said the fire was under control about 10 p.m. Suppression efforts continued past press time. The cause of the fire is still to be determined.
