Krista Shaffer, of Maybell, pats her horse, Nakita, after a run around the arena at Shaffer's grandmother's house in Sunbeam last year. Shaffer said her mother pushed her to join 4-H, and she's glad she did.
Ann Copeland hangs the necklace she just made on her display in the store. She fashioned the centerpiece of the necklace out of "Colorado Sea Glass," a name she's given glass that is broken and tumbled for a month in a rock tumbler.
"Duck on a Soap" is made by the Bubble Creek Soap Company, which is owned by two girls who are 10 and 12 and operated out of McCoy.
Ann Copeland threads beads for a necklace she is making. She makes all sorts of jewelry, a business she started when she inherited a collection of rocks from her grandfather.
Matt Wheeler, with American Progressive Homes Construction, works on the new Moffat County National Back building Friday. The bank is tentatively to be finished by July or August; however, the date is dependent on the weather.
