Colorado sustains the highest number of avalanche-related deaths in the nation, said Ron Dellacroce, Yampa River State Park manager. The Northwest Colorado Snowmobile Club is scheduled to host a seminar Jan. 12 to teach outdoor enthusiasts avalanche prevention and survival.
