Moffat County High School’s Cory Vigil gains the advantage against Conifer’s Travis Himmelman in Saturday’s 119-pound regional wrestling championship hosted in Craig. Vigil lost the match, 10-1, but he is advancing to state.
Mason Updike, 13, rides his sled that won first place in the most creative portion of the Cardboard Sled Derby. There were eight contestants. The sleds also were judged on their speed, and all the sleds raced downhill after the design judging.
Ron Dellacroce, of Colorado State Parks, inspects the engine of one of the antique snowmobiles on display Saturday at the 17th annual Vintage Snowmobile Show and X-treme Mountain Racing at the Wyman Museum. Dellacroce was one of three judges looking over snowmobiles on a variety of criteria based on age, motor, appearance and speed.
