The kit teaches parents how to steer their teens away from underage drinking. Educating parents will be one of Burchall's duties as the future Moffat County Youth Wellness Initiative coordinator.

United States Marine Jason Kawcak was in town on leave from Jan. 31 to Feb. 10. Kawcak, who enlisted in 2006 after graduating from Moffat County High School, expects to begin a tour in Iraq in October.
