Lisa Tayyara Coffman, at left, holds her father's Americanism medal for her daughter, Bella Coffman, and former Craig mayor Jerry Thompson to see. Thompson served as mayor while Saed Tayyara served on the City Council in the late 1970s. It was Tayyara's first foray into politics, and it inspired him to keep working in public service.
