Heather Nicholson, a Moffat County High School sophomore, blasts out of a bunker Monday during the Bulldog Invitational. Nicholson carded a 97, helping the Bulldogs earn a second-place team finish.
Moffat County High School senior Meghan Innes chips onto the 17th green Monday at the Yampa Valley Golf Course. The Bulldogs placed second in their lone home tournament of the season. Innes shot an 81, earning first place among 4A golfers.
The Dinosaur National Monument Quarry Visitor Center closed in July 2006 because the building site is too unstable to support a structure. Park officials said a new visitor center construction project is on schedule for 2011 or 2012. Officials said they are glad to be able to promote other park attractions in the interim.
