A photo of Joseph Biskup in the early 1930s. The photo was taken in Craig. Biskup brought his new wife to the area in 1907, and he was elected the first county surveyor when Moffat County was formed.
Travis Wilson, Moffat County High School senior, stands in the high school stairway Friday morning. He plans to become a truck driver after graduation. But first, he intends to take a one-year Bible course at Boise Bible College in Boise, Idaho.
Dr. Larry Kipe, a family physician at Moffat Family Clinic, recently was named as this year's recipient of the Gus Garcia Distinguished Physician High Plains Walking Stick Award. The award recognizes a physician who "exemplifies the best in family medicine."
April Robidoux, 34, sits outside her home in Terrace Estates, near East Elementary School. She is unable to work and collects disability. She said she depends on her Section 8 housing voucher to afford a nice place for her two children.
