Holiday travelers check in at the Delta service counter at Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Hayden on Tuesday. Airport officials recommend arriving at least 90 minutes before flight departure during the Thanksgiving holiday travel period.
Craig resident Thomas Williams runs in a marathon in Oklahoma City. Williams is traveling to Florida to compete in a marathon to help raise money for breast cancer research.
The Christmas season kicks off at 6 p.m. Saturday in Craig with the annual Parade of Lights sponsored by the Downtown Business Association and chapters of the Craig Lions Club.

The science department challenged teams to hurl pumpkins using catapults, slingshots and trebuchets.
Chris Scott, of Ouray, fights Richard Large. Large won by decision Saturday night at the Ultimate Cage Fighting event at the Moffat County Fair Grounds Pavilion.
