Bret Steele rode in Little Britches as a youngster, and today helps put on the events for the rodeo at the Moffat County Fairgrounds. His girls compete in the rodeo, as did his sisters when they all were children growing up in Maybell.
The Moffat County School District on Thursday night discussed preliminary plans for a potential November bond issue, with an early $28 million cost estimate. Although building specifics and costs are undecided, district officials believe a new Craig Middle School, pictured above in its current capacity, will account for about half of the total figure.

Controlled laughter is common during Friday morning’s radio show as Mike Fuller and Deanna Romone trade comments. Fuller is on the airwaves from 5 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, according to the KRAI Web site, www.krai.com.
