Heather Brown plays with her 3-year-old daughter, Nicole Brown, at the Craig City Pool Tuesday afternoon. While the skateboard park, bike jumps and playgrounds mostly were empty in the hot afternoon, many youths and their parents were present at the pool.
A wheat field south of Craig near the county owned land where farmers can grow crops for a one-third of the profit payment to the county. The contract on the county land comes up for bid again next year.
