From falling branches and house shingles to trees and flowers being blown about, another windstorm swept across Craig from 5:53 to 6:53 p.m. Saturday evening. Winds ranged from 40 to 52 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. A power line was knocked down by the Centennial Mall, and segments of the city lost power. Official estimates on how long power was out and how many people were affected could not be confirmed by Sunday’s deadline.
After four hours of work Saturday by Sean Smith, David Hickson, Tyler Roach and Jade Jackson, Larry and Nora Jones’ garage went from a pile of boxes sprawling from one corner to an organized work area.

Roach and Smith were joined by David Hickson and Jade Jackson — all working courtesy of Flint Personnel — in cleaning up and organizing the Jones’ garage as part of the Garage Make Over Contest. Old West Sanitation also donated a dumpster for excess trash.

Moffat County’s Josh Satterwhite is congratulated by teammates are hitting a three-run home run in the second game of the American Legion doubleheader against Palisade. Satterwhite had home runs in each game as Moffat won, 10-1 and 18-8.
Chris Winder rounds second base in the fifth inning of the second game Sunday against Palisade. Winder played for his hometown American Legion team for the second time this summer and contributed 14 strikeouts from the mound, two putouts from behind the plate, three steals, three home runs and nine RBIs.
