Snow coated the branches of trees during Friday’s early morning hours. It snowed off and on throughout the day, one of the first major snowstorms of the season. The Climate Prediction Center has forecasted more snow than average for the early winter months.

Moffat County assistant varsity girls basketball coach Matt Ray has been the man behind the legend, coach Craig Mortensen, for six years. The Bulldog varsity team is 102-18 with Ray on the sidelines. Ray has compiled a record of 78-18, in his first five years as head coach of the junior varsity team.
Tanya Rinehart, left, a Moffat County High School senior, talks with Carroll Morris, MCHS counselor, Friday afternoon at the school. Morris has started a Tolerance Group, suggested by Rinehart, at the high school to teach students to look past others’ dress and hairstyles, which are illustrated by the jellybeans she uses that look like a certain flavor but are made to taste like another color.
