Craig resident Casey McMillen displays the skills needed in his line of work. As a professional cowboy, McMillen has earned more than $80,000 this season. He will look to more than double that payoff throughout the week in the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. The finals air on ESPN2 all week.

The four dressed up and performed a cheer, each for $1,000 that was donated to the drive. The two-day holiday drive earned an event record $29,312.70 in donations, as well as stock piling toys and food for various groups. Last year, the holiday drive earned $25,000, which was the record.

Wendy Seely’s fourth-grade class works on Colorado history assignments Thursday afternoon at Sunset Elementary School. This week, the Colorado Department of Education released its school accountability report, which revealed that Moffat County students are scoring average on state assessments.
