Elks lodge member Frank Sadvar hands the ball to Craig Intermediate School sixth-grader Ashley Whiffen for her 25 shots in the 10- to 11-year-old age bracket at the youth Hoop Shoot on Saturday. The contest, which required no entrance fee, gave youths a chance to eventually work their way to a national competition with the winners' names displayed in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
