Emergency medical technicians and firefighters assist a male motorcyclist involved in a crash on Moffat County Road 7 on Friday afternoon. The motorcyclist crashed while swerving to avoid another vehicle, and he was transported to The Memorial Hospital.

The Little Snake Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management hosted the group for a morning of classroom instruction before they headed for Browns Park to visit the wildlife refuge.

Events like Summer Splash are geared toward giving youths fun activities to do. "It's an alternative to sitting at home, playing a video game, those kinds of things," Director Chad Kiniston said.
