Clint Wells runs toward the finish line at the U.S. 10K Trail Championships in Steamboat Springs on June 30. Wells finished third in the race and earned a spot on the 2007 U.S. Mountain Running Team, which will compete at the World Mountain Running Championships in September in Switzerland.
Patrick Maki with HP Rentals of Riverton, Wyo., off-loads 5,460 gallons of sewage at the Craig Wastewater Treatment Facility on Monday afternoon. Maki has been making six runs each week to Craig from a man-camp north of Baggs, Wyo., hauling wastewater for disposal.
A 1993 Chrysler LeBaron caught fire on U.S. Highway 40 near mile marker 96 Tuesday. Craig Fire/Rescue was dispatched at 6:34 p.m. Five firefighters and one engine were on scene and had the fire out and under control in an hour and a half. No one was injured. It was reported to Deputy Chief Bill Johnston that the driver of the Chrysler smelled smoke, stopped the car and a passerby came to help. It was reported that they opened the hood and saw fuel dripping. The passerby helped the driver and her baby get to a safe distance before the car combusted. "The passerby did a really good job," Johnston said.
Youths created these cakes for one of the many 4-H general projects, which were judged Tuesday. Four-Hers were interviewed about the projects and records, and find out Tuesday how they placed and whether they advance to the state fair.

Mike and Vicki Crackel hope to sell their property and move to Arizona to see family and take a break.
Mike and Vicki Crackel, both Craig Chamber of Commerce ambassadors, enjoyed getting involved in the community and creating lifelong friendships.
