Couri Blevins, who will be a fifth-grader this fall, awaits a spray of water from a friend Tuesday night at the Summer Splash pool party that Grand Futures Prevention Coalition sponsored this week. Events like Summer Splash are geared toward giving youths fun activities to do. "It's an alternative to sitting at home, playing a video game, those kinds of things," Director Chad Kiniston said.
