James Harold Ross

James (Jim) Harold Ross, long time resident of Craig, lost his long, hard¬fought battle with cancer on May 23 at his second home in Kona, Hawaii. He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Kathy, his Son Sterling (Sacha) who lives in San Diego, and his Daughter Allison LeWarne (Mike),lifetime resident of Craig. Jim started United Farm Agency Real Estate in Craig alongside his brother in law Clint in 1972. The name changed to what is now Intermountain Real Estate in 1987, which his son in law and dear friend Mike LeWarne now runs. Jim loved ranching and had an innate love for caring for livestock. He grew up in Delta, herding cows in the mountains, and fly fishing with his dad, Harold, at every opportunity. He had such a lovel for the mountains that Colorado would always be his true home. He loved to fly fish in the streams in Gunnison where he met his wife Kathy back in 1971. Jim had a true zeal for life, his laugh could warm the air on the coldest of Craig nights. He always took the time to have a conversation with any friend or stranger. He was the biggest fan of his children’s sports activities and his loud “Allllllright and Way to Go” could be heard on any sideline. He loved his grandchildren Lizzy and Alyssa of Craig, and Grayson and Ireland of San Diego. Join his family to celebrate his life on June 25th 4¬6 P.M. at the Clarion Inn in Craig.
